Wind & Wingz chapter of Chrome Angelz Riding Club International held their first Fun Run; the Run was held to benefit 22 Kill.
About 22 Kill:
22KILL works to raise awareness to the suicide epidemic that is plaguing our country, and educate the public on mental health issues such as PTS. 22KILL also serves as a resource for veterans, and continues to build on its network of like-minded organizations to be able to connect veterans with programs and services in their local area. Funds raised through merchandise sales and donations are used to support partnered organizations who offer programs focusing on veteran empowerment, mental health treatment, and therapy/counseling for veterans and their families.
Our Fun Run consisted of a five stop Poker Run, 50/50 Raffle, Vendors and a Silent Auction. We consider this day to have been a great success with $827 being donated to the 22 Kill initiative.
We would like to thank 22 Kill for coming out and setting up and spending time with the participants. We’d like to thank Eric Swift and his staff at Swifty’s Motorcycle Shop for allowing us to use their facility and providing the sound system for the event. Thank you to the stops along the way, Christal’s (for the use of the parking lot), Wilson’s Leather for their continued support of Chrome Angelz local chapters, and Cycle Gear on Alta Mesa for their participation and donation. To our sponsor’s that donated to our auction, we appreciate your support: Texas Harley, DOWCO, Willie & Max, Viking Bags, Boot Roxx and Open Road Girl, Liberty Sunglasses, all of our restaurants that donated the gift certificates and to our vendors that participated in the silent auction we could not have been such a success without you. Last, but certainly not least, to the 58 participants that came out and took part in our Fun Run, we certainly could not have done it without YOUR support.
Congratulations to our winner of the Poker Run with a Royal Flush: Kim Snow
Congratulations to Bill, the winner of both the loosing hand and the 50/50 drawing.
We do hope to be able to do it again next year and make it bigger and better!
